What is Verizon Account PIN?
Verizon's Account PIN is the primary way it verifies you as the Account Owner when you contact Customer Service by phone or chat. It is not the same thing as your My Verizon password, which is what you use to sign in online.
It must be exactly 4 digits, and only the Account Owner can create or change it. Verizon rejects the last four digits of your Social Security number in either direction, sequential runs like 1234 or 4321, and repeated digits like 1111. If you contact Customer Service without one, you will be asked to create one before anything else happens.
Verizon states plainly that it will never call you and ask for your Account PIN. Anyone who does is trying to get past the very check the PIN exists for.

How do I do it?
- Sign in to My Verizon as the Account Owner.
- Open the Security page in your account settings.
- Create or change the 4-digit Account PIN.
- Avoid sequential digits, repeated digits and the last four of your SSN.
- Share it only with Account Managers who genuinely need it.
