Data Roaming on iPhone: How It Works
By Muhammad Shahid · · 3 min read
Quick answer
Control data use on partner and foreign networks. When Data Roaming is off, your iPhone will not use cellular data on any network other than your carrier's own. Calls and texts still work. Domestic roaming inside the US is usually included in your plan; international roaming often is not.

Secret Codes keeps this and every other entry a search away. Pick your carrier once and each entry says whether it is published for your line. You can save favourites, add a private note, and record whether a code worked on your line.
